The Hyattsville Wire got the scoop today on the new Firehouse Lofts in the historic 1912 firehouse at 4334 Farragut St. just around the corner from Franklin’s and A Tangled Skein and right down the street from the Shoppes at Arts District Hyattsville.
According to a press release, there are eight available condominiums at the site ranging from 536 square feet to 2,006 square feet for either a studio, one-, two- or three-bedroom units. Prices range from $199,000 for the “studio loft” unit to $575,000 for the two-level, three-bedroom unit.
As part of the restoration, the brick facade has remained intact, with exposed walls found in the interior of the units, many of which have a loft-style architectural look-and-feel to them.
In the release, developer Erik Young says:
“Hyattsville has undergone an amazing transformation with the development of its Arts District and the advent of great restaurants, retail and new housing by some of Washington’s finest builders. Firehouse Lofts represents an opportunity to restore a piece of its history while offering niche condominiums that are easily accessible to the University of Maryland, its bus system and the MARC train network that serves the region.”
