artdc Goes Against the Grain

artdc Gallery’s latest exhibition takes a closer look at wood.

The gallery in the Lustine Center in Arts District Hyattsville will host a reception Saturday, July 7, from 7 to 10 p.m. for its newest show, “Against the Grain.”

The exhibition features sculptures and kinetic art primarily using wood from artists around the greater Washington, D.C., area, including Emma Holland Denvir, Teddy Denman-BriceKelly Guerrero and Grayson Heck.

The reception will also feature live music by Neil Cotterill of Baltimore noise rock band Infinite Honey.

The gallery is at 5710 Baltimore Ave. in Hyattsville.
