The Hyattsville Wire has confirmed that Pizzeria Paradiso is coming to Hyattsville. The restaurant will be in the northeast corner of the new Art Works Studio School location in the Marche Florist building facing Rhode Island Avenue.
Pizzeria Paradiso is the Washington area’s first-ever wood-fired Neopolitan influenced pizzeria that first opened in 1991 in Dupont Circle. The restaurant currently has three locations, including one in Georgetown.
Soon you’ll be able to enjoy delicious wood-fired pizza right here in Hyattsville, and we hear they also have a pretty awesome beer selection.
Barbara Johnson, founder and executive director of Art Works, said that once renovations are completed, they should be moving into the new space in spring 2014.
This is great news!! Hyattsville needs a good pizza place! I’ve been to the Pizzeria Paradiso in DC and it is good. I’m sure it will do good business in Hyattsville! 🙂
This is the greatest news I’ve ever heard. My favorite D.C. restaurant comes to the spot where I just bought my first house. I’m a happy man.
Very good news. Not only do we need a good pizza place, but also good to finally get a solid business this side of downtown.
Awesome! Now all we need is an authentic coffee house to round things out.
Art and Pizza practically in my front yard…so excited!
Excellent news! I know we will be frequent customers. Yet another great restaurant to walk to Hyattsville!
Psyched that they’re coming, but hasn’t Franklins been making wood-fired pizza for a while? Or is that different?
Unfortunately, it looks like this might not be such a done deal: http://dc.eater.com/archives/2013/06/20/pizza-paradiso-mulling-expansion-to-maryland.php
