ECO City Farms is still offering sign-ups for its winter CSA through Thursday.
With urban farms in Edmonston, and Bladensburg, the community-supported agriculture program grows vegetables without chemical fertilizers, chemical-based or non-organic treatments, herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides. All produce is Certified Naturally Grown.
For $22 a week, you can pick up a bag of fresh produce from Nov. 1 to March 31. The pickup is at the Riverdale Park farmer’s market on Thursdays, by the MARC station.
The winter produce is grown in passive solar hoophouses. The selection will mostly contain various salad mixes, root vegetables, bunched greens, herbs, microgreens and seasonal specials.
ECO City Farms won Best Community Supported Agriculture in the Hyattsville Wire’s Best of Route 1 reader poll this summer.
You can learn more about the ECO City Farms winter CSA here and apply online here. The deadline is Friday, Oct. 27.
