The Route 1 corridor’s newest playground at Riverdale Park Station is now open.
The playground includes a variety of slides, climbing areas and towers for kids to play with as well as a music station with chimes.
Though it’s intended for residents of Riverdale Park Station, the playground is open to the public. Located just off the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail, it is a great destination for family biking trips and other local outings.
Designed for kids ages 2 to 12, the playground has different areas designated for particular age groups.
It’s still a bit of a hike — past an active construction sites no less — from Whole Foods, but it is a great addition to Riverdale Park Station and surrounding areas.
