Denizens Brewing Co. is coming to Riverdale Park, adding to the growing Route 1 microbrew and distilling scene.
The popular Silver Spring brewery will bring its second location to a 12,000-square-foot space Riverdale Park Station, the mixed-use development anchored by Whole Foods.
“The Riverdale Park Station project is a perfect fit for a brewery taproom like ours, and we are excited about our great local and national neighbors — from District Taco to Whole Foods — that we are joining this year,” said co-founder Emily Bruno.
The location will serve draft beers, craft cocktails and locally made spirits from Republic Restoratives, a small-batch distillery in D.C. It will also sell packaged products and offer weekly tours of the brewing facilities.
Denizens Brewing Co. will be open for lunch, happy hour, dinner, and brunch as well as catering private events starting in late 2018. The brewery also will host meet-ups for yoga, biking and running clubs.
The new brewery joins Hyattsville stalwart Franklins, the much-anticipated Streetcar 82 Brewing Co., Maryland Meadworks and Sangfroid gin and whiskey distillery in South Hyattsville, plus popular venues for beer and spirits like Pizzeria Paradiso, Old Maryland Grill and the Riverdale Town Center Market.
