More high-end apartments are coming to the area around the Prince George’s Plaza Metro station this fall.
Lync at Alterra, which begins leasing this fall, will feature studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 684 to a spacious 1,250 square feet.
The four-story, 330-apartment complex at 3420 Toledo Terrace, will have 8,500 square feet of amenities, including a coffee bar, rec room with a pool table, workout facilities and an outdoor pool.
Lync at Alterra will join other recent high-end apartment projects in the area, including Mosaic at Metro, Post Park, 3350 at Alterra, the upcoming The Edition across East West Highway and the redeveloped Metro II office building at University Town Center.
All of the projects are within the crucial half-mile from the Prince George’s Plaza Metro station, which means potential residents would consider it an acceptable walk to mass transit, which is a key selling point.
The project is being built by Old Town Construction for Percontee Inc., which bought the land in 1958 and developed the original Belcrest Plaza apartments in the early 1960’s.
The boom in apartment construction is helping boost Hyattsville’s retail, as more foot traffic in the area around the mall and the Metro station keeps restaurants and shops in business.
