If you missed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Riversdale House Museum Wednesday, you still have two more chances to catch it along the Route 1 corridor.
The Prince George’s County Shakespeare in the Park program has a performance scheduled for today (Thursday), July 12, at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, and another on Wednesday, July 18, at Magruder Park in Hyattsville.
The free, family-friendly production includes live music, dancing and an intermission featuring juggling. The diverse cast also offers an enthusiastic approach to the play that helps keep it accessible to younger children despite the language and material.
Starting in 2013, the theater company has staged productions of “The Tempest,” “Romeo and Juliet” and “As You Like It,” but “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” may be the best one for watching outdoors.
