Jared and Ivanka Spotted at Route 1 Burger King

Of all the places you could think you might spot Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, the Burger King in College Park on Baltimore Avenue probably isn’t one of them.

It was a typical Friday night on Oct. 4, for Matt Giorgianni, an assistant research professor in the biology department at the University of Maryland, who had just picked up his nine-year old son from ice hockey practice at the nearby Wells Ice Rink. Because it was around 8 p.m. his son was hungry and wanted to grab a bite to eat at the nearby Burger King. So they made a quick stop for dinner.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy, with just one other customer who didn’t seem to take notice of the fact that Jared, Ivanka and their three kids were ordering food at the counter.

Matt spotted their youngest, Theodore, wearing a stormtrooper shirt and a Burger King paper crown. Jared was dressed casually in a sweatshirt while Ivanka was dressed nicely and wearing makeup, likely from taping an interview on Fox News earlier that day.

At first, Matt wasn’t sure if it was actually Jared and Ivanka, thinking maybe they were just University of Maryland students dressed in Halloween costumes to look like Jared and Ivanka. It wasn’t until Matt saw their order on the screen amount to over $100 worth of Whoppers and fries that he was convinced.

After Jared ordered, the family sat down and waited for their food, while four or five Secret Service agents stood around with three black SUVs parked in the back.

Once Jared’s order was ready, a Burger King staff brought it to the table and apologized for it taking so long. Matt said that Jared graciously told them it wasn’t a problem and commented how they were doing a great job.

After Matt ordered, he and his son took it to go. Matt walked passed Jared and his family and said “How’s it going tonight?” and Jared responded “It’s going really well.”

  2. rostandknows says:

    Is Burger King Kosher?

  3. JoeBee says:

Don’t chuckle…taxpayers probably paid the bill.

  4. Jackie Bourg says:

Sad to see all your responses. A family cannot even bring their children to eat American JUNK without these haters crawl in the open. LOW LIVES eh.

  5. Chava L says:

Friday night is their Sabbath. 1. They don’t drive on Sabbath 2. They don’t use money on Sabbath and 3. Burger King is not Kosher. It could never have been them. Fake News

  6. Bob Catlin says:

Its something to remember it for when its gone in another year or two.

  7. Mary Livanos says:

So whatcif taxpayers paid as it is still cheaper than all of Nancy’s hairdos and boots. Also jet fuel..

  8. JoeBee says:

Junk food for a junk family…they are truly exceptional!

  9. Zoe Baker says:

Do we know that they keep kosher? I mean, really.

Friday night us the Sabbath so they can’t cook. What better way to feed three hungry little kids?
They didn’t drive. The SS agents drive them. No Sabbath rules broken.
While BK def isn’t kosher, if they didn’t eat a bacon cheeseburger, does it matter? Hamburgers without cheese are kosher-adjacent.
Why would someone make up a dumb story like this? Occam’s Razor says it’s true.

  10. Robert says:

Screw all you haters. Trump doesn’t even take a salary and you want to say that taxpayers paid for a fricken Burger King meal. You are part of the problem with this country. You are a waste of oxygen. Look at all the taxpayer money Moochelle and Barack Hussein wastes away. You’re a special kind of stupid!

  11. Arthur Escobar says:

Trying to be normal ..!! l not going to happened there part of the 2% that will never live in reality they’ll run over anybody to get what they want like scaring families when they take their kids away so others don’t try to seek asylum. You think they were thinking of those kids when they were eating with their kids? Not….!!

  12. N. Steve says:

Bunch of haters, better get use to having the great Trump around for another 4 years seeing they can’t find a somewhat good democrat to put in the oval office

  13. T. diNovi says:

Jared & Ivanka wearing crowns? …

  14. John Miller says:

Fake News!?! Some people are way to paranoid! Everything is a conspiracy.

Sure Sleepy Joe, Lyin’ Hillary, Shifty Schiff & Crazy Nancy have taken over The Hyattsville Wire. Those Paranoid, Socialist Dems are at it again. Its all fake news!

40.7% of Americans (Trump’s current approval rating) think that any statement uttered by any media source that isn’t stating that Trump or his family aren’t the best thing since sliced bread must be Fake.

Get a life people. NOBODY on the LEFT really gives a damn if they ate out at BK or not. This is a fluff article and if they ordered there it’s mildly interesting to know that they were passing through Hyattsville. That’s it! Move on. No Conspiracy…

  15. Jack Crocker says:

    Ya’ll are mean!

I’m just wondering what they’re doing up here in the county. Maybe Jared wants to build some more student housing apartments.

    Dunno.

  16. Fran Levine says:

FYI, there is no such thing as “adjacent kosher” for observant Jews. They claim to be Orthodox Jews, I.e., observant. Burger King is definitely not permitted, neither is travel on Shabbos. Sometimes rules are broken, but not to do business unrelated to prayer. You may remember when a truly observant Joe Lieberman refused to do such things on Shabbos. Just shows them to be the hypocrites we already knew they are.

Wow, the number of people commenting on Judaism who obviously know nothing about Judaism is astounding.

  18. Mark says:

    Pics or it didn’t happen.

  19. Carole Culin says:

My belief is that if a person is a liar and a thief, they put themselves and their family members out there for scrutiny from their victims on many levels.

  20. Gaye Elleray says:

Bet grandpa asked the grandkid to bring back that crown for him.

  21. Scott Meltzer says:

If there’s no picture, it didn’t happen. There’s no way they’d even go into BK except for a plastic cup of water. Anything, meat or not, cooked there isn’t kosher as it’s cooked on the same grill as the meat. They were driven on the sabbath so that’s allowable, they just can’t drive. And if he paid and not the driver, handling money on the sabbath isn’t allowed either. But it’s a moot point, it wasn’t them.

  22. Chris Thomason says:

…at “Burger King” getting it THEIR way (again). btw, Jackie Bourg, anger and hate isn’t a “good look” on you. Try allowing your fellow Americans their own opinion even if others don’t see things tbe way you see them

  23. Nigel Blumenthal says:

Burger King have been selling plant-based burgers for several months now, and even a plant-based (ie, non-meat) Whopper. So it’s quite possible that they weren’t breaking any rules of kashrut, although most Jews will be aware that they were driving a truck through the prohibition of maras ayin.

  24. Marc Baranchik says:

Kosher is kosher..To someone who keeps kosher Burger King whatever its virtues is not. Now, if they had plant based burgers and if they were cooked on a grill that non-kosher food had not been cooked on, perhaps one could consider that acceptable, but I don’t know orthodox Jews who would.

  25. Greg D Carter says:

Hundred bucks!?? How the hell can an average family eat that many Whoppers? 20 to 30 bucks each???

  26. Kate says:

Take a chill pill you Trump lovers, if you’re fortunate to have a job your tax money paid for this meal as well and who really cares if their orthodox or not only they have to pay for that. It’s time for a new show at the White House this one has played out.

  27. Ladydi says:

Everyone knows BK burgers are BROILED, not grilled. Het a life you haters….

  28. Sylv says:

They’re not necessarily good people, but that doesn’t mean we should criticize their private life like that.

  29. Seattleites says:

What a shame all these Nancy Pelosi is in the room looking for somebody to convect….. A family just can’t be a family anymore and just come together and enjoy a meal.

  30. Buffal0Bill says:

I feel pretty certain that they spent $100 because they bought food for the Secret Service agents. It would appear from their thoughtfulness that their hearts are little larger than many of those commenting on this article.

  31. James Jones says:

This is a sad shame were all humans but we can’t even agree on a family night out .Judge and be judged remember this rhe Lord don’t care what party your from love thy neighbor.

  32. Duane Marshall says:

I’m everyday people remember that big deal
