Hair Cuttery Opening Soon in Riverdale Park

The Hair Cuttery is scheduled to open soon at The Station at Riverdale Park.

The hair salon left its location at 7405 Baltimore Ave. ahead of construction of the College Park’s new landmark $47 million City Hall and retail center.

The new location is next to Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop on 45th Street. Hair Cuttery staff told the Hyattsville Wire that the original opening date in mid-January was pushed back several times but they were planning to open soon.

A Hair Cuttery location at the Shoppes at Arts District Hyattsville closed a few years ago, and was replaced by Kaizen Teriyaki.

Long a staple of suburban strip malls, the Virginia-based Hair Cuttery has nearly 1,000 locations across the United States. In recent years, it’s sought to shake up its image to appeal to budget-conscious millennials.

Construction of the new city hall is now underway.
