You can still get lunch or dinner from College Park’s Ledo restaurant for curbside pickup.
Established in 1955, the longtime institution at 4509 Knox Road was set to close at the end of March, but the deal fell through so it’s still open and taking things month to month. The owners have been looking for a buyer so that they can retire.
During the coronavirus lockdown, Ledo has been open for curbside pickup with its full regular menu from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Ledo’s restaurant, which hosted sports legends like Yogi Berra, Johnny Unitas and Joe Namath in its heyday at its original location in Adelphi, even made t-shirts in March that are still for sale.
“Last call at the original Ledo Restaurant — A Maryland Tradition since 1955 — College Park • March 2020,” the shirts read.
But for now, last call hasn’t happened yet, and while the restaurant dining room is closed, you can still get your Ledo fix by calling them at 301-422-8122, and ordering your favorite dishes for curbside pickup.
