Dessert Boutique Tiered and Petite Opens in Downtown Hyattsville

Dessert boutique Tiered and Petite recently opened in downtown Hyattsville, offering curbside pickup and delivery.

Located at 4344 Farragut Street near the courthouse, the artisanal bakery specializes in  made-from-scratch tiered cakes, typically used in weddings, and petite desserts such as macarons and rum balls.

The small-batch baking starts with ingredients such as European-style butter, heavy cream, imported chocolate and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans.

Founder and owner Cotton Ward also makes homemade ice cream from scratch in flavors such as butter pecan and chocolate chip cookie dough. She also makes old-fashion sweet treats including peanut brittle, red velvet cupcakes, chocolate dipped pretzels, bourbon whiskey fudge brownies and bourbon banana pudding.

To welcome the store to the neighborhood, Sangfroid Distilling announced that all customers picking up from them this weekend will get a free Tiered and Petite cookie with each Sangfroid bottle purchased.

The bakery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. They also deliver to D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware, seven days a week.

To order, call 240-467-3977 or use their online ordering form.
