Wills Decorating will hold a soft opening on Monday, July 27, at its new location in Hyattsville’s landmark TESST building at 5122 Baltimore Avenue.
The longtime Route 1 corridor business has been renovating the building for the past few months even as the coronavirus pandemic forced construction workers to socially distance.
They have made some changes, however. The store is planning to hold off on a grand opening until December or later, and plans for leasing out the second floor of the building to professional offices are on hold.
“The virus has made us cautious,” co-owner Michael Richards told the Hyattsville Wire.
The store will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
For the opening, the store will have a special for 30 percent off on Hunter Douglas Blinds and special order wallpaper and a drawing for two gallons of free Benjamin Moore paint.
