New Restaurant Headed to Former Momo Yakitori Location in Woodridge

A new restaurant appears to be coming to the former home of Momo Yakitori in Woodridge, D.C., just south of Mount Rainier.

A canvas sign at 2214 Rhode Island Avenue NE advertising “His & Hers” notes that a restaurant is “coming soon,” as first noted by Brookland Bridge.

The restaurant is registered as a D.C. business to Sheena Alston of Maryland and Paul Winestock of Washington, D.C.

Alston is an entrepreneur who has also opened hair salons in Maryland.

The popular Momo Yakitori closed in December 2019, two years after replacing Nido, a Mediterranean restaurant.
