Riverdale Park’s 2Fifty Texas BBQ came in number 1 in Eater DC’s new top restaurant list.

In its regular list of the 25 Most Exciting New Restaurants in the greater D.C. area, the news site praised its brisket, beef ribs and sausage links:

Pitmaster Fernando González and his restaurateur wife, Debby Portillo, refined their smoking techniques while serving Texas barbecue to American diplomats in San Salvador, El Salvador. Moist slices of wagyu brisket coming out of the oak-burning rigs at their storefront in Riverdale Park prove they’ve done their homework

2Fifty, which had been serving its barbecue at the Riverdale Park Farmer’s Market, moved ahead with its brick-and-mortar location in May despite the pandemic, offering curbside pickup and contactless delivery.

Apart from Eater D.C., the restaurant has earned praise from the Washington Post’s Tim Carman, Thrillist, the Flights and Foods travel blog, and the Campaign for Real Barbecue.

Damn…now all of the yuppies in DC are going to come and ruin my favorite BBQ spot. Thanks Eater.
