Another high-end student housing project is underway in College Park, as development continues in the university town even amid the economic downturn.

Located at 8430 Baltimore Ave. around the area where the Burger King used to be, Tempo College Park will be a bridge between Enclave at 8700 to the north and University View to the south.

As with other new student housing, Tempo has a number of amenities, like a swimming pool, sports simulators, bocce court and in-room TV sets, as well as the usual fitness center and computer lounge.

The eight-story building, which will have 299 fully furnished apartments, is expected to be finished by August of 2022.

Construction is steadily moving forward in College Park, with the Southern Gateway near ZIPS Dry Cleaning, a new city hall across from Nando’s and major roadwork ongoing despite the coronavirus pandemic.
