Voting Extended for Hyattsville Wire’s Best of Route 1 Reader Poll

Voting in the annual Best of Route 1 reader poll is being extended to this Sunday, January 17.

The fourth annual poll was scheduled to culminate at the end of last week, but given the unrest at the Capitol we know most everyone was a little distracted, so we’ve decided to give you some more time to vote.

This year’s reader poll focuses on the effects of the coronavirus on the Route 1 corridor. Which restaurant has the best curbside pickup? Where’s the best place to go for a walk while socially distanced?

You can check out the 2017, 2018 and 2019 winners, if you’re curious.

Picks must come from the following communities: Woodridge, D.C., Mount Rainier, Brentwood, North Brentwood, Bladensburg, Edmonston, Hyattsville, University Park, Riverdale Park, College Park, Berwyn Heights, Calvert Hills, Greenbelt, Laurel or Beltsville.

You can answer as many or as few questions as you like, but there’s a limit of one entry per person. To stop ballot-stuffing, we require an email address to take the survey, but we will not share your address with anyone or use it for any marketing purposes.

Submit your entry by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 17. Poll winners will be announced by January 24 on the Hyattsville Wire. Two entrants will be randomly chosen to win a $25 gift certificate to a business on the Route 1 corridor.
