An apartment building at the Station at Riverdale Park will begin pre-leasing its 225 units next week, adding more foot traffic to the area.
Named for the former ERCO plane on display on site at the Station, Pilot House at Riverdale Park at 4650 Van Buren St., will begin move-ins around May 15.
The building has also set aside 10,000 square feet of space for retail. Senior Property Manager Lydia C. Chandlee told the Hyattsville Wire that there are “active negotiations” on those spaces, but nothing concrete yet.
Based off a computer rendering of a model apartment, each unit has an open floorplan with a spacious kitchen and living room leading to a large window. Amenities include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, kitchen islands and nine-foot ceilings. Some units have private patios, balconies or terraces as well.
The apartments are located right off the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail, close to the College Park Metro station and within an easy walk to the Riverdale Park MARC station and the Discovery District.
Pilot House even boasts its Walk Score, a “somewhat walkable” 64 out of 100, and its Bike Score, a “biker’s paradise” of 90.
Cheryl Harrington, owner of Shortcake Bakery in Hyattsville, is working with Pilot House to create a custom cookie for incoming residents.
