A Hyattsville resident won on her first appearance on “Jeopardy” Wednesday night.

A program manager at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in D.C., Sarah Reza won the Final Jeopardy round when she correctly provided the question to this answer in the category of Movie Characters:

“A character who was going to be called Lunar Larry became him, inspired by the name of a real person.”

The correct question: “Who is Buzz Lightyear?”

The real person he’s named after is Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, the second person to walk on the moon, the only crew member of Apollo 11 still living and something of a movie character himself with cameos on “30 Rock,” “The Simpsons” and “The Big Bang Theory.”

Reza won $12,801 during her appearance and returns on Thursday’s episode, which will again be hosted by “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.
