St. Crispy’s Gets Props by Washingtonian as Top New Brunch Spot

St. Crispy’s in Brentwood made a list of new D.C. brunch spots recommended by Washingtonian magazine, the latest spot at Brentwood’s food hall to be recognized by D.C. media.

Started by the restaurateur behind the former Bird Kitchen, the fried chicken spot in the miXt food hall at 3809 Rhode Island Ave. blends French cooking techniques with Southern cooking.

In a post listing four brunch spots to try, Washingtonian highlighted St. Crispy’s creative options for when “you’re in the mood for something decadent but casual.”

“The Sunday brunch menu is filled with indulgent plates like a chicken-fried soft-shell crab sandwich, smothered pork chops over cheese grits, and three kinds of fried chicken,” noted the magazine.

It also recommended the light Danish pancakes called ebelskivers if you have room.
