New Art Studio and Event Space Opens on Berwyn Road in College Park

A new art studio and event space in the historic Berwyn neighborhood of College Park recently opened a few doors down from the new Tacos a la Madre.

Studio 444 offers a variety of art classes on everything from paint-and-sip to cooking and cookie decorating. It also offers private event space for rent with hourly and daily options. The event space includes free parking, a kitchenette, and other amenities including tables and chairs with access to a flat screen TV.

Located at 5002 Berwyn Rd., the studio is the brainchild of Largo residents Leroy Williams and Ja-naia Adams, two artists and educators.

Upcoming classes include an adult Halloween cookie decorating class at miXt Food Hall, a 3D paint-and-sip event focused on Black hair and a Thanksgiving cake decorating class with Cakes by Christa.

On Halloween weekend, Studio 444 is also partnering with Tacos a la Madre next door for a painting event which includes tacos and margaritas.
