Popular D.C.-based fast casual chain &pizza is now open in College Park, with a pandemic-inspired feature.
Located at 7236 Baltimore Ave., the former location of GameStop in the College Park Shopping Center, the eatery has a special sliding window outside for customers to pick up orders without coming inside.
It is the second &pizza on the Route 1 corridor, following one at the Mall at Prince Georges that opened in 2018, and the 11th &pizza in Maryland.
Once dubbed “the pizza shop for the 21st century,” the chain is known for worker-friendly policies, including a $16-an-hour wage and giving employees the day off to vote, and its internal management software, known as &OS.
The new location is part of a massive expansion, as CEO Michael Lastoria said he plans to expand to around 100 locations from Virginia to New York City by the end of 2022.
You can order ahead on the &pizza website or for delivery or pickup through GrubHub.
