Two restaurants on the Route 1 corridor are featured in a new 12-part series about food around the greater D.C. area.
Upcoming episodes of “Signature Dish” on WETA will include stops at Senegalese restaurant Chez Dior in Hyattsville and 2Fifty Texas BBQ in Riverdale Park.
Located at 4700 Riverdale Rd., 2Fifty has been repeatedly singled out as one of the best barbecue joints in D.C. by local critics. It will be in the first episode, which airs March 28 at 9:30 p.m., along with a Kensington pizza place and a Middle Eastern restaurant in D.C., with the theme of “cooking with fire.”
Chez Dior, which is located at 5124 Baltimore Ave. across the street from Franklins, will be featured in the fifth episode, slated to air at 9 p.m. on May 2, along with other West African restaurants in Takoma Park and D.C.
“Signature Dish” host Seth Tillman previously worked on “Neighborhood Eats” for WETA.
“The D.C. area is rich with wonderful restaurants,” he said in a recent interview. “There’s just so many great places. Most people love food, I’m certainly one of them, but food is also an entry way to learn about the great people, communities, people from different countries and regions who make up this area.”

A small quibble — your linked mentions of Chez Dior take us to a Grub Hub site where we get the message that Chez Dior is not available on Grub Hub. Chez Dior does not appear to have its own website yet, but I hope you will post a good link if and when one becomes available.
Fixed the link. Thanks!
