Food Hall Begins Taking Shape at the Station at Riverdale Park

Construction is moving forward on the new food hall at the Station at Riverdale Park, now slated to open this summer.

Now named Le Fantome, after the French word for “ghost,” the food hall and ghost kitchen facility will feature 8,500 square feet with a total of nine food vendors.

Along with a wrap-around bar, Le Fantome will have indoor and outdoor seating for more than 175 people.

Located at 4501 Woodberry St., across from MOD Pizza, the food hall will be overseen by Chef Akhtar Nawab, owner of Alta Calidad in New York and Otra Vez in New Orleans.

As construction continues, Le Fantome has already started hiring, including general manager and culinary operations manager.

The much-anticipated food hall is the third along the Route 1 corridor, after miXt Food Hall in Brentwood and The Hall CP in College Park.

Management company Hospitality HQ runs similar food halls in Omaha, Neb.; Knoxville, Tenn; Chicago; Houston; Salt Lake City; Fargo, N.D.; Louisville, Ken.; and Portland, Maine.
