Chick-fil-A Ghost Kitchen to Open in College Park on Sept. 14

Chick-fil-A’s new ghost kitchen is scheduled to open in College Park on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Called Little Blue Menu, the kitchen delivery service will be located at 7242 Baltimore Ave., the former site of the Applebee’s restaurant.

The ghost kitchen will prepare food for pick up, delivery and catering, including standard Chick-fil-A items as well as wings and burgers.

Although Little Blue Menu will not have indoor dining, there several outdoor tables with blue umbrellas for customers picking up.

The kitchen will deliver within a 10-mile radius of the location, including most of the Route 1 corridor, using hybrid electric vehicles.

The College Park location is the second for Little Blue Menu, which started in Nashville in 2021.

5 Responses to Chick-fil-A Ghost Kitchen to Open in College Park on Sept. 14

  1. Barbara Piper says:

In view of the long-standing opposition of Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy to LGBTQ rights, I hope that readers will take this into consideration when thinking about patronizing this new Blue Menu.

  2. Jennifer Mendenhall says:

Hyattsville Wire, are you simply promoting this business? If you are a legitimate news organization, you failed to provide background information on the parent company, Chick Fil-A, and its owner’s homophobic stance. Remedy that, if you please. Thank you.
For those of us who support gay rights, this company’s opening in CP is not a cause for celebration.

  3. Tim Nugent says:

“A virtual restaurant, also known as a GHOST KITCHEN, cloud kitchen or dark kitchen, is a food service business that serves customers exclusively by delivery and pick-up based on phone and online ordering. It is a separate food vendor entity that operates out of an existing restaurant’s kitchen.” (Wikipedia)

First time I’ve run across this term. Might have been helpful if the article had to find it. Maybe I’m just an old, out of touch man.

  4. Alison Beckwith says:

This item has been updated to reflect the current plan for menu items according to a representative of Little Blue Menu.

  5. Jennifer Mendenhall says:

Alison Beckwith, please correct the misinformation in this article, citing four restaurants in the Chick Fil-A ghost kitchen?
Please also investigate why PG County planning board allowed this facility over College Park City Council’s objections?
    Thank you.
