Developers Moving Forward on Former Site of College Park’s Campus Village Shoppes
The new owners of the former Campus Village Shoppes center in College Park have announced more details.
LV Collective is now planning to build 288 apartments and 13,715 square feet of retail space, including some previous tenants of the shopping center who were unceremoniously kicked out in 2023.
The apartments, which will total 340,000 square feet, will feature high-end amenities such as a ground-floor coffee shop, a co-working space on the second-floor mezzanine, a fitness center, yoga studio and cold plunge as well as a hot tub with a Jumbotron.
The developers are working with the Lakeland Civic Association and the Lakeland Community Heritage Plan to create a community center that will include a library and archive of the historic African-American community that was demolished in the 1970s. There will also be flex space that can be used for presentations, art shows or other events.
The project, called Rambler College Park, is projected to be finished in the fall of 2027.
