College Park’s Newest Apartment Building Is Also One of Its Oldest
A new apartment building targeting University of Maryland students dates all the way back to 1965.
The developers of the Arbor at College Park refurbished the 159,000-square-foot former University Club building at 4800 Berwyn House Rd. in College Park, adding new in-unit washers and dryers, a yoga studio, a fitness center, and a sauna.
New York-based Cape Advisors also utilized the five acres of outdoor space to add fire pits, outdoor grilling stations, a volleyball court, and a hammock area.
By redeveloping the original building rather than demolishing it, Cape Advisors estimates that it saved more than 4,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, the equivalent of taking 870 cars off the road for a year.
The 134 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments are currently leasing for summer and fall. Monthly rents range from $1,815 to $3,425.

That’s so funny. I lived there in the early 2000’s. Back when it had a swimming pool! Honestly it was a pretty decent off-campus apartment for a bunch of idiot college kids.
