Hyattsville Residents Expand Local Food Scene with Artisanal Pasta Launch
Two Hyattsville residents have launched a new line of artisanal frozen pastas.
Jeffrey Haddad recently founded Pasta Rituals, which builds on his family’s Christmas Eve tradition of hand-rolling dough to make northern Italian recipes, with his partner Georgio Takounakis.
They currently sell small-batch frozen ravioli that can be served in three to five minutes, in three varieties: classic ricotta, mushroom ricotta, and spinach herb ricotta.
The two have been holding pop-up events, including an upcoming one at Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. on Friday, March 20, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Pasta Rituals is also on sale on their website or at three Union Kitchen Grocery locations in the greater D.C. area, and last week they began selling at the Takoma Park Silver Spring Food Co-op too.
