A healthy shake and energy drink spot is moving into the Hollywood Shopping Center in College Park next to Mom’s Organic Market.

Simply Nutrition, which will open at 9815 Rhode Island Ave. in early 2020, makes high-protein shakes that can serve as a meal replacement or snack. Even with toppings like Captain Crunch berries or semisweet chocolate chips, the shakes have around 350 calories.

The menu also features a rotating selection of energy drinks and teas with different flavors as well as coffee.

The location makes sense, as the shopping center is becoming something of a mecca for healthy living. Located at the northern end of the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail, it’s a popular starting point for long-distance bikers, including ones organized by Proteus Bicycles, which moved there in late 2018. Also, the Hollywood Shopping Center farmer’s market also picks up back in May and runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. And Posh Fitness and Cycling is located down the street at 9925 Rhode Island Ave.

Mom’s Organic Market is also located in the same center at its expanded 27,500 square foot location which it moved into in 2018.

Simply Nutrition currently has a location at 5406 Queens Chapel Boulevard, near the West Hyattsville Metro station under the name Nutrition 301.
