UP Meadow Day

Join us for the 5th Annual UP Meadow Day on Sat May 31 from 9 to 11 AM: Family friendly, community event run by volunteers and sponsored by the Town of University Park.

If you have already been to UP Meadow Day – we invite you back! We have new activities planned – including the Pollinator Parade! Dress up in costume! Be Face painted! March in a joyful parade as your favorite pollinators or flower around the Meadow led by the Mayor of University Park! The parades will start buzzing at 10 AM and again at 11AM. We will be hosting at least 6 new exhibitor tables including Bee Safaris and caterpillar adoptions and PG County Park Rangers and we are growing native plants to give away as we speak!

Location: Adelphi Road across from Toledo Road, Hyattsville Library and Hyattsville Recreation Center
Time: 9 – 11 AM
Rain date: Sunday June 1 – same time
Complementary light refreshments served

Native Plant giveaway, Caterpillar adoptions, Bee Safaris, Face painting, Crafts and 15 exhibitors including Anacostia Watershed Society, Nature Forward, PG County Park Rangers, Vibrant Gardening, Community Native Plant Project, City of Hyattsville, Re-Meadow, Sierra Club PG County Chapter, Wild One Washington DC Chapter and University Park Compost, Tree, Styrofoam Recycling and more!

UP Meadow Day is a University Park Sustainability Committee event.
