Today’s Hair Plans Return to College Park Location After Fire

A longtime College Park hair salon that burned in a fire earlier this year plans to return in the coming months.

The interior of Today’s Hair, at 4437 Lehigh Rd., was badly damaged in early February after a fire started on the roof of a neighboring business.

Owner Pola Kry told the Hyattsville Wire that no one was hurt, but the interior was a complete loss. She plans to return to the same location in the coming months, and in the meantime is doing house calls for regular clients.

“The pandemic had already hurt our business very badly,” she said.

The salon has been in operation for 26 years,  and is popular with everyone from university students to local families,

A GoFundMe set up by a longtime customer raised more than $23,000 to help the salon continue paying rent until it can get back up and running. You can still donate here.
