If you drive past Guilford Road on Route 1, you’ll see little more than a cleared piece of land. But new marketing material gives a sense of the plans for the site. Called the Southern Gateway, the development would be a $100 million mixed-use development, with nearly 400 apartments, 73,000 square feet of retail space and two parking garages. Continue reading

University Boulevard on the west side of the University of Maryland campus will undergo a massive facelift, as two lanes face long-term closures next month for the Purple Line. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be required to stay outside of the construction zone at all times. Continue reading
