College Park’s The Hall CP Is Changing Hands

A popular food hall near the Hotel at the University of Maryland is changing hands.

Located at 4656 Hotel Dr., The Hall CP has been a popular dining, music and events venue in College Park since opening in 2020.

The brainchild of Scott Plank, a Maryland alum who is the CEO of War Horse Cities in Baltimore, The Hall CP had become a hotspot for NFL players such as Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce when they were in the D.C. area.

A representative of the venue confirmed that it is under new ownership and having some interior work done over the summer.

Earlier this year, the owners of The Hall CP applied to transfer their liquor license to The Lakelander Group, a College Park-based private company which was formed in 2025, according to state records.

The Hall CP is not only close to the hotel, but also a future Purple Line stop and a massive new graduate student housing development.
